Simpsonville can expect to see the creation of 160 new jobs with hiring beginning this month

Simpsonville can expect to see the creation of 160 new jobs with hiring beginning this month.  Genetec Global Technologies announced last week that they will be investing 1.2 million dollars into the expansion.  Although a Fountain-Inn based company and a subsidiary of Genetec Technology Berhad of Kuala, Malaysia, the plant will reside at 844 S.E. Main St in Simpsonville.  The plan is to outsource many of its manufacturing requirements to local suppliers for machining and fabrication.  According the the Greenville Area Development Corp. it is expected that the company will "add sales, engineering and assembly capabilities for providing custom health care and textile industries
